Coronary Artery Spasm is also commonly known as Vasospastic Angina. This condition usually occurs when a person is sleeping of just woke up from sleep. When a spasm happens, the blood flowing in the heart is lessen and this can cause pain and heart attack.

Here are the Causes of Coronary Artery Spasm:

- exposure to cold places
- use of cocaine
- experiencing high and severe level of stress
- medications such as: ergonovine and vasopressin
- strenuous activities

Here are some Symptoms of Coronary Artery Spasm:

- chest pain
- palpitations
- shortness in breathing

These Symptoms can occur while a person is:

- at rest
- no physical exertion
- sleep
