I just need to take one tablet because I have a long term (more than 5 days)abdominal pain that seems to get worse. However there is a high possibility to be pregnent. Should I take it or its better to avoid it?

It is best not to take said medicine if you suspect that you are pregnant.  In one manufacturer’s precaution, it indicates that pregnant women should avoid taking this medicine.  The common side effects of this medicine are drowsiness, nausea and vomiting which also happens during pregnancy.  As such, it would be hard to detect if the drowsiness, nausea or vomiting is caused by the medicine or of your pregnancy.

There are two ways to come up with a solution to your concern.  First, you may want to consult your OB Gyne to determine if you are really pregnant.  If it is positive then do not take Duspatalin.  You may also ask your OB Gyne about your abdominal pains so she can give you the proper medication and it will not harm you or the fetus in any way.  Second, visit the physician again that prescribed Duspatalin and inform him or her of your current state.  This way the doctor can adjust the medication or treatment for your abdominal pain.

Do not take the risk and later on regret it.  If you are carrying another life, it is of utmost important that you consider what harm it can do.  The fact that you are asking this question, it means that you are concern and it would be a smart move to avoid taking the medicine even if it is only one tablet.
