I am 37 years old. Six weeks ago I had to see a doctor with stomach pain triggered by taking Ibuprofen for a week due to pain from dental treatment. The doctor prescribed Omepazole for 2 weeks because it might be symptoms of ulcer or Helicobacter Pylori. Within 2 days, I began experiencing a sensation of food clogged in my gullet, I told the doctor and he said to carry on and advised it was acid pushing up (though I've never felt acid indigestion nor heart burn). This continued, and the doctor prescribed stomach relaxants - at this point, I had enough so I stopped, this made me felt nauseous.
For the last few weeks the pain is still there, I began to have palpitations which I find scary and upsetting. The odd hot flush, to which my partner bravely suggested I may be in early menopause, I took Boots test to prove him wrong, it came back positive.
I have a regular period, but the last few cycles was delayed. I felt dry during intercourse, my nails are brittle, my skin is dull, I felt having short tempered, and I experience terrible tiredness.
The stomach thing worries me, has anyone experienced this along with menopause? This is probably early menopause.
My Dad died in August, people around suggested this feeling could have been anxiety and depression. Is it possible that the menopause was triggered by his death?
I was thinking if I have valid reason for these symptoms, I am starting to feel anxious that it isn't something else. I haven't stopped worrying which made me feel worse, especially I have been thinking about dying a lot, sound stupid, I'm sure but also a common feeling of doom and gloom and dread.
I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced a digestive problem along with menopause? This is to put my mind at rest.
