Will You Lose Eyelashes During Menopause?

0 votes
Hot flashes started in me and I wonder if other things happening to me are also menopause related. Has anyone else here lost eyelashes? I heard about hair loss as menopause related problem and I wonder if my experience falls under this one. Last year, I observed that I am losing eyelashes on one eye. Then they will return upon taking a month or so for growing back, and then will fall again. Aside from this, I am not noticing any other hair loss. I went to an ophthalmologist, an optha-plastic specialist and a dermatologist, but no one of them knows what is happening to me. Can someone help me find it out? Thank you for any input.

Yes, aging and hormonal changes during and after menopause may cause eyelashes to fall out. Aside from this, eye problems such as inflammation of eyelids due to infection may also cause eyelashes to fall out, even extensive use of eye make up products and other medical conditions.
