Do the Medications I Take for My Asthma Have Long Term Side Effects?

0 votes
I was put on Advair for my asthma and it wouldn’t agree with me. In the mornings I would turn beet red and my mouth would feel all sticky and strange. My doctor then put me on Serevent and Pulmicort which I took before. I’ve decided to get the disk form instead of the MDI. Will there be a difference in the dosage. I remember taking 2 extra puffs compared to the MDI. The doctor is putting me on a powder version now. The dose is definitely different, I found out today. Thrush is another concern I have. I hope I don’t develop anything like that because I’ve never had to struggle with that before. Also I’m hoping that this sun burnt look that I have will pass off soon.

I am also suffering from GERD and am now on Nexium for it I’m getting good relief from it. The Zantac, Protonix and Prevacid which I tried earlier for it proved to be useless. I hope the Nexium is not going to produce any long term side effects because I seem to have become quite dependent on it. Does anyone have any ideas?
