Will My Asthma Medications Affect My Chances of Getting Pregnant?

0 votes
I am an asthmatic and have been on theophylline for a number of years. My husband and I are thinking of expanding our family. My question is will this drug affect my pregnancy? I’ve asked around 6 doctors and guess what I gathered? Three of them told me to stop the drug while the other three told me it was alright. Recently, another doctor has advised me to stop the drug gradually because I’ve tried stopping it all of a sudden and seemed to get this tightness in my chest which wouldn’t go away. I’m also on Pulmicort, Serevent, Nasacort and Claritin. Now my basic requirement is to go back to the stage I was before introducing all these drugs. I’ve tried Singulair and Advair but both don’t agree with me.

Does anyone have anything to say to this?
