Was It Asthma or Bronchitis Caused My Son's Death?

0 votes
What I have is a tragic tale to narrate. My son was never diagnosed with asthma though he had bronchitis once or twice a year. At the age of 9 he had his first nocturnal seizure. In the year that followed he had 5 seizures and with the last one he breathed his last. His death was due to his throat muscles constricting shut. We have no epilepsy in the family though there is asthma. He was prescribed an inhaler for his bronchitis.

I’m looking hard to find a reason for his death. Could it have something to do with his eating, sleeping, watching TV, sports or his social life? The doctors never told us that my son could die from these seizures.  It’s my sincere prayer that no one loses a child like we did. He did have an EEG which showed no irregularities. Then why did this happen? Anyone got any theories?
