When Should You Use an Inhaler for Your Asthma?

0 votes
Hello, I was recently diagnosed with asthma so I need some guidance here. I get these coughing spells out of nowhere and then I cannot breathe and I feel as if I have bubbles in my chest. They make this really weird gurgling sound and it feels like I’m drowning. Is this when I should use the inhaler? I was also wondering if inhalers have some kind of a withdrawal symptom because feel really weak and out of it these past few days after not using an inhaler. I would be glad for any kind of advice. Thank you.

I have a strong feeling that what you are describing is no longer asthma but a condition that leads to pulmonary edema. It is a case when the lungs are filled with fluid which could be water or blood. This is an emergency situation and you must seek a doctor right away. Be insightful that asthma's key sign is wheezing and having the feeling of being drowned is worse than that.
