How Would You Know If You're Already Having an Asthma Attack?

0 votes
I am Eileen and my age is 53. I was diagnosed with mild emphysema, asthma and also sleep apnea. It becomes very difficult for me to breathe because of chest tightness and heaviness. I also experience a dull pain. I am prescribed to take combivent and prednisone for seven days. When I took both the medicines I felt a little relaxed for a while. After that, I can’t understand what is actually happening to me. My difficulty in breathing increased with bronchitis. Can anyone explain what is felt when one gets an asthma attack? Do I suffer from an asthma attack?

As you know, asthma is not the only condition associated with breathing difficulties. To specify that your case is really asthma, you have to be insightful of its signs and symptoms such as:

1.) Coughing usually at night or early morning
2.) Wheezing which sounds like a squeaky or whistling sound upon breathing
3.) Chest tightness which feels like something is sitting on your chest and squeezing it
