Could Asthma Be Attributed To Bronchitis?

0 votes
I have been told that I have asthma but I would like to relate to you all what I have been experiencing in this last month. I am new here and would be obliged if you give me your comments. Since the 25th of March, I have been going through a lot. I had contracted a cold with terrible sinus headaches and went to the doctor after five days only to be told that I had a sinus infection. He prescribed Amoxicillin and  just as I completed the ten day course of antibiotics, I developed a constant , hard cough and when all my friends and relatives complained that it sounded terrible I went into a walk-in clinic and they told me I had bronchitis and that  my sinus infection was still there.  I was prescribed Levaquin for two weeks along with a medication for the cough. A week later, I went back to the doctor with a still worse cough and wheezing and on examining me he said I did wheeze. He asked me to take an X-ray of the chest just to ensure that there was nothing else the matter with me and the result was clear. So, he prescribed a pack of Medrol. I was supposed to take 6 pills the first day and then for the rest of the days you take one pill less till the pack was over. He also asked me to take Biaxin for a week. That same night, I thought that I was beginning to get asphyxiated and felt tightening in the chest but luckily, the Medrol started having effect and though my chest is still painful, I do feel a bit better. I have heard that you get asthma from bronchitis. I have allergies, too from the age of eight and was being given allergy shots till I was 14 years old. I have decided to go to see a Pulmonologist soon. Do you think I could be having asthma due to all this?
