Could My Cough Due To the Lowered Dosage of Advair?

I was informed that I had asthma just last spring and my asthma is evident only with my cough. I have to keep it under control with Advair 250/50 that I take two times daily. Just a few days back, my doctor reduced the Advair dosage to 100/50 and I have started coughing already. Can you tell me how long I have to wait to inform my doctor about the re-emergence of my cough? I do not know whether the cough has been brought on by the change in weather or because of the reduced dosage of Advair. Actually, I do not have an incessant cough but I do not know what or how much is enough.
