What More Can I Do About My Allergies and Asthma?

0 votes
Hello everyone.
I have mild/moderate asthma and other allergies. I take Advair and Accolate but never Albuterol. I get mild attacks from time to time and not often my allergies act up once in a while.
I don’t know why my allergies and asthma have gone worse since last month or two. I don’t need as many medicines during winter. Actually, I can go on lesser dose of Advair and I don’t even take Nasacort but now my asthma issues have gone up which includes runny nose and bad coughs. The symptoms last for an hour but usually, I never experience these symptoms.
I can’t think of anything in my house. My home seems to get dusty soon even though I dust often. We are having mold inspector coming to take the air quality sample because we seem to have mold problems in our basement. However, this problem has been there for a while. There is no evidence of mold upstairs but I now, I’m more sensitive to it. I know this means little.
A few months ago, we had our ducts cleaned and they found mold there and were eliminated but now, it seems that the allergies are much worse than they were before.
I’m going out to get allergy cover today for my mattress and pillows. I already have an air purifier (got another one too) and I dust and vacuum frequently. We also run a dehumidifier in the basement all day long.
I don’t take shots because they make me sick. Any advice would be appreciated!
