How Do I Get Relief From This Inflammed Bronchial Tube?

0 votes
Hello, everybody! I have been to many doctors to consult them twice in this week. I am so frustrated that I feel like I am getting no air at all sometimes. This is when I begin to panic a lot. I have been an asthmatic for the past 30 long years. Now that I have got this cold, I have been given a 120 mg of medication from one of the Emergency Room doctors. I have also contacted my allergist today. However, he does not believe in any big burst of Prednisone to provide me relief from the problem. My peaks are currently running at 250-300. There is some amount of wheezing in the left lobe of my chest. The congestion is in the chest and it also hurts a lot. The X-rays showed that they were clear. Now, I am on two antibiotics Zithromax and Septra. The asthma doctor is not sure whether Zithromax is working or not but he wants me to keep using it along with Septra. However, I need advice about how can I get some much needed relief from an inflamed bronchial tube that is in my chest. Also, I have got a croupy cough which sometimes brings up some green and yellow colored mucus. The doctor has also prescribed some of the mucus thinning medicines. It has been about four days and I am still battling with it. Can anyone help me who has tried everything in order to get out from this hell? Can anyone give any advice about what I can take in order to lighten any load in the chest and also get that breathing back to normal? I am sure that someone out there also has experienced this. It would be really nice to take anything which will provide relief to this tiring run. Thanks to all those who help.
