I am pretty new to these kinds of forums. I am an asthmatic patient who regularly suffers from severe bouts of asthma. It started out as a mild case of breathlessness when I was a child. At that time, I neglected it thinking that it would go away or subsequently get healed but it gradually developed into an attack of full scale asthma. It was then that I decided to consult the doctor but by then, most of the damage had already been done and from then on, I have been suffering a lot due to the severe attacks of asthma. I have been put on medications which seem to be acting on me and I am able to get ample amount of relief from the sufferings of asthma.
For those of you who are interested, I am finding out about the asthma as well as the fire fighting and also law enforcement jobs in the federal government. However, once I get more information regarding this issue, I will post it here. The following points are the important things that I know as of now.
The Inhalers are not allowed anymore on fire line because they always pose the explosion hazard from the intense heat that is present near the flames. Persons who suffer with the exercise-induced asthma have been encouraged on getting a new pill.
I have passed fire physical with the exercise induced asthma; therefore as long as I have my medication, everything must be under control.
I am still working on the requirements of federal officer standards.
Is there anyone present on this board that knows anything else?
