Is This a Case of Wheezing?

0 votes
I’ve been an asthmatic for a long time. It’s only recently that I noticed a new symptom i.e. every time I exercise, I could hear this whistling sound whenever I exhaled. I tried to plug my nose but it still continued. Can this be a wheeze? I can’t tell because I’m used to the pretty heavy type.

Yes, it can be since you also mentioned that you have been an asthmatic for a long time. One of the causes of wheezing is asthma.

Wheezing is a sign that a person may be having breathing problems. The sound of wheezing is most obvious when breathing out (exhaling), but may be heard when taking a breath (inhaling).
