How Can I Prevent Myself From Getting These Infections Again?

0 votes
I have been on Advair for the past 1 year after having been diagnosed with asthma. My dosage is 150/50 with a dose of Max air as needed. This does help in relieving me of my breathlessness but I can’t say I’m completely cured. I still can’t exercise properly and this is such a shame because for the past 12 years I had been frequenting the gym doing all sorts of cardio vascular exercises and lifting weights etc.
Two months ago, I was victim to a serious case of upper respiratory and secondary sinus infection. It was an awful ordeal and imagine now I’m slowly recovering from a second attack of the same. We live in Colorado which is quite cold and on top of that, I was always on the move hardly taking time off for a rest. These factors may have actively contributed towards my being prone to the abovementioned infections. The Advair had to be increased to 250/50 and also introduced Albuterol for added help. It took a couple of weeks for me to recover from these infections. I want to know, is there anything I should do to prevent getting these infections again? Anyone with similar experience, do comment.
