Is Moxypen Safe In Pregnancy

hi my niece is 9 weeks pregnant she is 20 years old she has a
flu like bacterial infection and the dr has prescribed moxypen and
dorlorol also prescribed for pain as her joints are sore and aching
she is concerned about safey of baby i see many woman are prescribed this what are you thoughts and is there any other natural way to deal with this?

moxypen has an active ingredient of amoxicillin. it has pregnancy category  B (US FDA). as define in toto by mims, category B means:

Either animal-reproduction studies have not demonstrated a foetal risk but there are no controlled studies in pregnant women or animal-reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect (other than a decrease in fertility) that was not confirmed in controlled studies in women in the 1st trimester (and there is no evidence of a risk in later trimesters).
