Can I Take Xanax for Anxiety and Still Get a Career In Phlebotomy?

0 votes
I have been on xanax for a couple of years for anxiety. I am going to school to become a phlebotomist. I am in the state of Illinois and was wondering if there will be a problem getting a job in the medical feild while taking this prescription. I'm afraid to ask my doctor, he needs to approve me going into my new career.

i know nurses who take anxiolytics when they have attacks so i guess being a phlebotomist will just be thesame. what is important is for you to manage your anxiety very well as you will be joining the medical business. you must be comfortable in asking this to your doctor as he may have valuable recommendation for you. remember that your are talking about a lifetime career so your must take everything into consideration before deciding, that includes referring to your doctor.
