Parasidose Plus Shampoo has an active ingredient, the D-Phenothrin 0.5% w/w. This ingredient is also used as an element in aerosol insecticides which can be used at home.

Yes, in the product label, it says that it shouldn't be taken by breastfeeding moms like you because it has risks for neurotoxicity in infants (symptoms include seizure and decrease in the level of consciousness or arousal). However, according to the manufacturer, it is safe to use by pregnant and lactating mothers and children of more than 3 months of age. (Please see http://www.parasidose.com/en/expert-opinion-17.html) These are two contradicting statements.

D-Phenothrin, the active ingredient is more commonly used for cat and dog fleas. It is better to find other alternative treatment for you and your children that won't put your family's health at risk. Also, notify your doctor about this incident for proper management.
