I Ma 51 Years Old and Have Been an Asthmatic for a While. Presently I Have Decide

I ma 51 years old and have been an asthmatic for a while. Presently I have decided to go in for a colonoscopy, the first I ever had to rule out any possible complications. I am a cautious person so it was in my interest to get it done. Therefore I'm not nervous about the procedure at all. What I am anxious about is how the anesthesia during the procedure would affect my asthma. Some people claim to just relax throughout the procedure while others go to sleep. I guess it depends on the nature of the anesthesia. I have read somewhere that anesthesia can trigger asthma attacks in certain people and can't help wondering if I would have to go through the same after my procedure. I want to know is there any asthmatics out there who has had a colonoscopy? Please advice.
