Parasidose and Breast Feeding Mothers. A Dangerous Combination?

My partner just used parasidose shampoo that states not to use if you are breast feeding. Can someone please answer question asked by a concerned mother in June last year? How can this affect a breast feed baby?

Parasidose shampoo is an extra strength shampoo that is used to treat headlice and is not to be used in nursing mothers. Its active ingredient is D-phenothrine 0.2%. According to poison control center that toxicity symptoms include nausea, vomiting, throat irritation, skin and eye irritation and paresthesia. In your case, just stop nursing for a moment while you are using parasidose shampoo.
