Problem With Sciatica

Have had two steroid injections, most of pain and discomfort is under control but still get stabbing pain with certain movements and standing up from a sitting position and mostly getting out of the car.  Someone told me that Dicloplast patch helps a lot.  Want professional advice on this, are there any side effects and how can one get the patch.  Do pharmacies carry them, do you need a prescription?

dicloplast is a patch which contains diclofenac. diclofenac is an non steroid based pain reliever which is more commonly prescribed for arthritis and alike. when used together with corticosteroids, it may increased GI ulceration (common side effects of non steroid pain relievers). other than that there seems to be no other known interaction of steroids and diclofenac. it is still best for your to consult your doctor regarding the use of this patch.

depending on your country, it may or may not need prescription. i don't know of a diclofenac patch here in the philippines but as with the 275mg tab, it does not need prescription. the 550mg tab on the hand is a prescription drug.
