Caffeine can increase the symptoms of anxiety (restlessness, increased heart rate, nervousness, mood swings, distracted thoughts, and insomnia). These symptoms are supposedly to be treated or managed by Xanax (Alprazolam). Caffeine-containing beverage may get in the way when Xanax is expected to take action. Yes, you can drink coffee (if you want to) but the effects are undesirable.
