Zocor is a trade name of Simvastatin. It is used in patients with high cholesterol and heart problems. It belongs to a group of medicines known as HMG–CoA reductase inhibitors. It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. In terms of good and bad cholesterol, SIMVASTATIN-GA reduces the bad cholesterol and raises the good cholesterol.
It does not contain any components that are addictive hence it is not addictive.
