Ectopic Heartbeat is also known as Premature Ventricular Contraction. This heart condition is characterized by an irregular heart rate and heart rhythm that involves extra or skipped heart beat.

This condition is associated with an electrolyte blood abnormalities that must be corrected. This can also be associated with reduction of blood supply in the heart and ischemia.

The cause of this heart condition are: alcoholism, excessive smoking, drinking too much caffeine, taking prohibited drugs and some medications.

Here are the Symptoms of Ectopic Heartbeat:

- palpitations
- stopped heartbeat
- skipped heartbeat

In some of the cases, the patient may feel no symptoms.
