Seroquel is available in different dosage. To help you identify the tablet, just follow these simple steps:

1. Determine the color of the medicine to be identified. Seroquel comes in peach, yellow, white, and orange tablets. Seroquel XR -- extended release -- comes in peach, white, yellow, and pale yellow.

2. Determine the shape of the medication. Seroquel comes in mostly round tablets with the exception of 300 mg and 400 mg tablets which are capsule shaped. All of the Seroquel XR tablets are capsule shaped.

3. Determine the writing on the medication. All Seroquel tablets are imprinted with the word "Seroquel" and the dosage in milligrams. The dosage may be on the same side as the Seroquel imprint or may be on the reverse. Seroquel XR does not contain the "Seroquel" imprint. An "XR" imprint is used instead.

4. Dispose of medication that cannot be successfully identified. If there is any doubt whatsoever about the nature of the medicine, it should not be consumed. Errors when administering medication kills thousands of people every year.
