Can benadryl help when having an allergy induced asthma attack?

Yes Benadryl can help relieve a mild asthma attack. It should not be used for a severe attack because it can have a sedative effect and you do not want to fall asleep while having a serious attack. Something faster acting such as epinipherine might be a better choice for an acute attack. The next time you have a conversation with your physician ask for his or her\'s adivce.
