Biaxin contains Clarithromycin which is under the antibiotic drug category of Macrolide. You are allergic to this drug if you are also allergic to other Macrolides antibiotics Azithromycin, Dirithromycin, Erythromycin, Roxithromycin, and Telithromycin. Clarithromycin allergy symptoms includes itchy skin and hives, facial swelling, breathing difficulties and heart rate irregularities.
