I have been taking bonviva for a couple of years and have extreme hair loss which has been going on since Sept., a year ago.  Should I stop taking this medication?

I have been taking Boniva for 5 months now and I too am experiencing extreme hair loss also!! Sometimes by the handful...I am wondering also are others experiencing this same side effect??

Considering looking at alternative medicine for bone loss therapy...Any suggestions out there??

I think I will go back to the calcium and vitamin D regimen as well as some weight bearing exercizes...I don't want to be a bald lady either!

I share your pain.... I HAD THICK beautiful Hair until I started taking BONIVA injections. My hair comes out by the handfuls. I'm so depressed about it.. I'm going to STOP the boniva. I've been taking b~12, biotin and using nioxin. I pray this junk will leave my body and my hair comes back. Good luck to all of you out there!!!!
