An Absence Seizures is also known as Petit Mal Seizures is a condition where there is a sudden intense and abnormal changes in the brain's electrical signal. This seizures can affect partial parts of the brain or the part of it.

When the whole brain is affected, it is called as generalized seizure. There are two most common kind of generalized seizure, one is the grand mal seizure and the other is petit mal seizure.

This kind of seizure only lasts for about 30 seconds or maybe even less. The person who suffers from this condition may stop from moving and speaking and simply stares straight and appears to be blank. They will not respond to any questions.
