First I Took Salofalk, That Gave Me Flare Ups Twice a Year or So, Then I Took Scd

First I took Salofalk, that gave me flare ups twice a year or so, then I took SCD. It was good for me, stopped my flares completely and I felt great for not having to take Salofalk. Post pregnancy, I took Salofalk again. But this time it did not work. At present I am taking Asacol with Azathioprine, they seem to be working great. A friend of mine has been taking Asacol for almost twenty year now and she has not got any flares. Maybe, the severity of UC depends on 5-ASA. Asacol is expensive and given the high dose I am supposed to take adds more to the price. Plus, there is not any generic. I can not say anything about side effects, I have not noticed any till now. I do have idiopathic autoimmune hemolytic anemia. This apparently is an exceptional side effect of Salofalk. May be I got it but can not tell you, unless it is different from the ones I have already got from Salofalk.
