Skin complaints such as severe eczema and seborrhoeic psoriasis are often treated with clobetasol, a corticosteroid drug which comes in the form of a topical cream (emollient or ointment). It is usually only used in very severe instances as it is particularly strong and should not be used for longer than a fortnight.
